An Update

I didn't write blog posts. I had such high hopes, but gladly saved myself the stress.

These past few months have been so extremely busy with college applications, school work, and lots of senior year fun. I really haven't had a day off. Even Thanksgiving break had something everyday, though that was my doing for the most part.

I'm not an inherently interesting person, but here are some highlights since the first day of school...

Senior Sunrise.
We got up super early. Walked downtown. And watched the sunrise.
It was actually very beautiful and fun. And there's a great GIF that was created of my friend falling down a hill.

SASS days
My mentoring program lesson days have actually been fun. I run all around the school for 30 minutes and my blood pressure definitely rises, but I love it.

Weird sleep patterns.
It's one of the only things I end up writing about on my daily writing notes.

Dirty 30
We drove to the nearby big city to go see Dirty 30 Movie, and it's my favorite movie experience ever.

Karaoke at Main Event
It was a birthday party for one of my friends, and we were living for it.

Filing FAFSA at Midnight

New clothes.
I got a new sweater. Which isn't a big deal, but I really like it, and it made me happy. And I got a denim jacket for less than $20, as well as a super fancy dress for $24, and a cute less fancy dress for the same price.

Homecoming Week
I didn't go to the dance because I was on a college tour, but I went to the football game (my second ever, because we don't have a football team).

New Books!
Hannah Hart's Buffering Book came out.

Vacation Weekends
At my favorite resort, with a new movie theater and the best swimming pool

College Tour
Of one of my top 3 schools. I really liked it. I could see myself there.

Halloween
I brought a friend to my church Halloween event, but we ended up at Central Market instead of staying. I dressed as Hermione.
Our school had a Goblins and Goodies event, which was super fun. I dressed as Tinkerbell.
And on actual Halloween, I passed out candy and went to a little gathering of adults for free food. I dressed as Minnie Mouse.

Corpus Christi Trip
One of my friends and I went to Corpus Christi for a college tour, and took so many pictures and had a really great time in general.

A New Hair Color
I went blonder than ever, and I love it.

An Awards Ceremony and Schmoozing
It wasn't fun, necessarily, but I just have some amazing relationships with school officials and friends and they make it fun. Plus, I went to dinner with my best friend afterwards.

Senior Pictures
In-school shots, in drapes and graduation gown. Just a super fun day.

A Play Date
with my choir teacher's daughter. We played with dolls and made crafts, and I had such an amazing time.

Birthday Lunches
Ice skating and lunch for my traveling friend's 18th birthday and our whole group of buddies
Another lunch for my little-brother level boy friend with super amazing chips and queso

Thanksgiving
Honestly, I don't usually look forward to large family gatherings. But somehow this year was really pretty great.

Black Friday shopping
I do it on Thursday, and we got new TVs (which were way overdue; it is my new favorite asset in my bedroom). Then on Friday night I went to the mall with my two best friends and we saw Fantastic Beasts (so amazing!)

And now we're up to the present. I'm missing pictures because I got a new phone, and I definitely had many more events happen between school starting and now (along with a couple mental breakdowns, but the amount of fun does outnumber those episodes, which is a great judge of my quality of life)

So let's see if I can maybe commit to more blogging. I don't have a theme. I just have brain splatter. We shall see. What happens, happens.
